Ice Cream through the Ages

ice creamIce cream is clearly one of the world’s favorite foods. The United States alone produces about 1.5 billion gallons of this frozen delight each year, and to this number, other countries add their own stash and their own flavors.

An Old Love

The world’s love affair with ice cream is not new. In Today I Found Out’s post The History of Ice Cream, Emily Upton says, “…Its origins date back as far as 200 B.C., when people in China created a dish of rice mixed with milk that was then frozen by being packed in snow.
